This candidate should be an expert to work in a Sr. DeVops engineering role. The Sr. DevOps Engineer will work directly with data and information architecture on AWS Cloud. This role will be leading the transformation of hosted infrastructure to the cloud.

responsibilities

• Create and run a cloud based IoT SaaS Platform 
• Use breed tools to construct scripts and processes to create, package, run trials, deploy and observe our IoT SaaS Platform 
• Use GitLab and multiple coding languages to build and manage CI/CD pipelines 
• Manage automated build, test, and deploy processes
• Use semantic versioning with GitVersion to run programming versioning 
• Manage deployment repositories with Sonotype Nexus
• Implement package vulnerability and static code analysis scanning into CI/CD pipeline
• Automate Infrastructure-as-Code deployments using AWS Cloud Formation
• Document overall CI/CD pipeline design and deployment topologies
• Collaborate with Information Security team to ensure platform security and integrity
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by Sr. Director of Engineering

required qualifications 

• CS, CE, BS, or similar degree
• 5 or more years of experience in DevOps/software engineering
• 2-3 years experience with AWS cloud managed services (preferably AWS Certified DevOps Engineer)
• Extensive experience with maintaining and building CI/CD pipelines (preferably with GitLab)
• Experience authoring and operationalizing code in Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code
• Experience with one or more APM platforms (Datadog preferred)
• Deep knowledge and experience in enterprise data architectures including RDBMS, Columnar, and Cloud managed services
• Knowledge and experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and ECS
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server Administration including PowerShell scripting
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python or .NET/C#
• Linux/bash and Powershell shell scripting experience
